Africans in Solidarity with the people of Eritrea.

Africans for the Horn of Africa Initiative (Af4HA), is convening a Pan-African solidarity virtual event to highlight the on the current state of security and human rights in Eritrea and its impact on peace and security in the Horn of Africa region. As the situation in Eritrea has continued to deteriorate over the years, so has focus by the human rights community. The situation in Eritrea receives the least attention within the Horn of Africa Region and Af4HA hopes that the webinar will contribute to addressing this unfortunate reality.

Objectives of the Webinar:

To create a solidarity platform with activists, locals, intellectuals and civil society organisations from or working on Eritrea.
To identify in-roads and topics of interest that will provide tangible efforts into opening up space to address peace and security and human rights concerns for example the politics of the Red Sea and their impact to the HOA region.
To identify examples of transformative change processes and other models globally that could be used on the Eritrea situation.
